VFW POST 1325
PENINSULA PEP POST
PORTLAND, OREGON
If you have arrived at this page you may be considering making a donation. We thank you profoundly. In deciding whether to donate, please allow us to tell you a little about what we do with donated funds.
First of all, we think it's important to assure you that all donated funds are used to support veterans and our organization's programs. None of us takes any salary or other payment from the donated funds we receive.

Here are some of the things that the VFW accomplished nationally last year:
-
Our members, through our trained "benefits advisors," helped veterans recover $16.2 billion in earned benefit payments. Basically we help veterans navigate the bureaucracy to receive the benefits they are entitled to.
-
We provided more than $1.48 million in scholarships to veterans through the VFW "Sport Clips Help a Hero Scholarship" program, and $1.3 million in national Voice of Democracy (VOD) scholarships.
-
We hosted 52,801 service members and their families at more than 182 morale-boosting events through the VFW Military Appreciation Program.
-
We testified before Congress on issues such as high-quality and timely VA care, veterans and military quality-of-life programs and services, and other topics directly impacting the lives of service members, veterans and their families.

At the local level, members of our post contribute to our community by volunteering at the VA hospital, by driving disabled veterans to their medical appointments, by providing food boxes to veterans in need, by supporting quality of life for members of the 142nd Wing Air National Guard unit at the Portland Air Base, by making cash grants within our means to veterans in distress, by speaking at events and institutions on patriotic themes, by providing proper disposal of retired American flags, and by participation in a multitude of community events.
We are your neighbors. We are veterans of foreign wars. We seek to continue to serve our country and community, and we thank you for any donation you are able to make. We promise to use the funds to make a difference for veterans and our community.
